My Birth Wish List

$0.00

HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT YOUR LABOUR & BIRTHING PREFERENCES YET ?

Well the time has come - no doubt you have probably spent many hours thinking about all things baby during your pregnancy: names, which brand of car seat to buy, whether you'd like to breastfeed, post natal days (the 4th trimester) & what it looks like, your support team. But if you haven't already, it can be a little overwhelming to even start thinking about what you would like - especially if you have never laboured before hey.

So now is the perfect time to create a birth wish list - your birth preferences. The big day will be here before you know it!

Keep it fluid and be open to changes. Think about what do you want the atmosphere in your labour and birthing space to look like? List your dreams and wants, as well as thinking outside the box & keeping an open mind. And, remembering that not all choices may be permitted.

Some ideas to think about may be :

  • Who would you like to have with you during labour and birth — ie; your partner, maybe a doula, family or a close friend.

  • Being mobile during labour and off the bed (walking around or sitting up) as much as possible.

  • The possibility of using water, ie shower or birthing pool for labour or birth/or both.

  • Creating your nest where ever you are ie dim lighting, music, dancing, headphones. Create your nest !

  • Taking photos or videos - Do you want this and who will take them?

  • Remember to ask for a swiss ball, birthing pool, peanut ball early if you think you may need or want them (permitting your chosen facility has these available)

If you would you personally like to chat with me about your birthing plan or go over it all with you and your partner or support crew, please let me know and we can arrange an appointment for you - I would love to help you achieve such an amazing & special event in your life :).

Now is your time : With you - For you - For Baby

Also check out our Be the Best Support Person workshop which covers this and much more to prepare your team for your ‘Birth day” :)
