Everyone goes through life’s hustle & bustle differently. So we will always do our best to make you feel safe & comfortable as possible whether you want to see us for Relaxation, Spa Treatments or Mobile. And likewise, if you are currently pregnant or just had your baby you may be one of the shining, floaty moonbeams of joy kind of pregnant or new mumma. Massage, Mobile & Spa Treatments :

Do I have to be pregnant to come and see you ?

No, absolutely not! We see regular clients as well :) Our treatments also include Relaxation Massage, Body Exfoliation Treatments and head/foot massages, so there is plenty of choice for everyone. We are happy to see you no matter what is happening in your life. I offer mobile massage and chair massage also if you are busy & on the run!

What is the best way to contact you?

Text or email is preferred in the 1st instance in case I am with a client or between mobile appointments & won’t be able to answer your call. This allows me to respond sooner for you & I can call you back as soon as I am available :) Alternative you can PM me via Facebook or Instagram.

I have a voucher for a certain value. Can I top it up for a longer session ?

Thats a big yes! You can definitely top it up for a longer session. Let me know at the time of your booking & your voucher number and I can arrange it for you. Alternatively if you have a voucher for a higher value or longer session time, you have the options of splitting into two visits. Vouchers can be purchased for either a specific treatment or $value if you are unsure.

Can we buy vouchers for Baby Shower combined gifts ?

What a perfect idea & she is very lucky indeed! This really is the perfect gift and something that a new mumma-to-be may not be able to do herself. Multiple vouchers is great as she can mix and match them for different sessions or combine them for one complete appointment. Depending on what she needs or wants at the time. I can also tailor packages specifically for new mums for multiple sessions during pregnancy. We are very flexible here and have our clients best interests at heart!

How do I purchase a Gift Voucher ?

You can either contact us a number of ways - phone, text, email, website, facebook or instagram messaging. Let us know what information you would like on your voucher and we can either email it directly to you or post the original out to you. The information we need for your voucher is: the recipients name, treatment required & for how long, $value, any special message and who it is from. And don’t worry, if this is a gift (and not a voucher for you from you!) we won’t include any $value at all. Just the treatment and session time frame. If you are unsure of what treatment they may like, you can just purchase a specific $value and they can choose at time of booking.

I want to buy a voucher for someone but can only see certain amounts online – can I purchase a voucher for a specific amount ?

Yes, you certainly can! Email, text or phone us and we can arrange a voucher for you for any $value. You can also contact us via Facebook or Instagram if easier for you.

Do I have to wear anything specific for my massage or spa treatment ?

Nope! Whatever you feel comfortable in. For most treatments you will take off the majority of your clothing and snuggle under the blanket/draping. It is your massage for your comfort - we’ve seen it all so no shocks here! We are extremely discreet & respectful at all times and you will be fully draped continuously apart from the limb we are working on at the time. Though it’s important to note that some scrub/exfoliations (if you are wanting full body) may require you to be naked or pair of disposable undies, so keep that in mind when booking.

What if I arrive late for my appointment?

We understand the ‘life happens’ & we try to be as flexible and accommodating as we can for all clients. However, Late arrival could result in shortened treatment time, so as not to delay the following client & you will be charged accordingly. As you can appreciate we have other clients arriving on time for their appointment so we need to ensure their session is on time. However, if we have had a cancellation or do have time available we may be able to extend your session for the full massage or treatment time frame. If you are running late we are unable to ‘make up’ time at a later date.

Do I need to fill out any forms ?

Yes, but only for your 1st visit. You will need to complete our Client intake form for whatever treatment you are coming for. This enables us to learn about your medical history and discuss any discomforts, aches & pains you would like addressed.

In regards to Pregnancy, we specifically need to know how your pregnancy is tracking and if there are any complications, concerns or previous pregnancies etc. We want to ensure we are working safely for you and baby. If you are unsure at any stage if Pregnancy massage is safe for you I can provide you with a clearance form to be signed by your Lead Maternity Carer. This will ensure we are aware of any underlying conditions you may have during your pregnancy. In some cases, we are unable to massage due to contraindications for the safety or you and your baby. Please reach out for a chat if you have any questions or would like to know more about this. Its also great for continuous care so you have a team looking after you and your best interests and we can support you through your pregnancy in the best way possible :)

How do you do a Pregnancy Massage ?

For your comfort and safety during your massage you will be placed in either a side-lying or semi-reclining supported position. You will be fully draped/covered at all times, apart from the area we are working on. How much skin you expose during your massage is entirely up to you & your choice. Some women are comfortable wearing very little clothing; others want to feel more covered. Remember it is your massage and we can move you around during the massage. You don’t need to stay in any position that is causing discomfort - defeats the purpose of your relaxation massage right ! Depending on how long your session is, you may like to include an add-on service, for a pampering foot/leg treatment and/or head massage to really send you into relaxation mode - perfect for those sore and tired pregnancy feet. I will always ask my clients if they would like a gentle belly massage for her & baby. This is very gentle and only a few minutes and its a great way for mum to connect and relax with baby during the massage. And the babies LOVE it also with lots of wriggles :) Remember our in-home massage service is great for those later weeks of pregnancy when you are tired and don’t really want to leave the house much.

For Post-Partum appointments, is my baby allowed to come in with me ? Yes - baby is very welcome up to 6 months. I understand that new mumma’s can’t always get time away or someone to look after a new baby.. or you just want to have them close in the early days. I have a moses basket in studio for this very reason. So you know your baby is warm, snuggled and comfortable while you are relaxing and having your well deserved massage. I do allow a bit of wriggle time for Post-Partum appointments in case we need to move baby onto the table for a feed or a cuddle during your massage. If you think you may need longer (maybe baby is unsettled) let me know at time of booking as we may need to an extended appointment booked.

Remember our in-home massage service is great for those Post-Natal days with new mum, new baby, tired and just wanting to stay at home. This is perfect for cultures that are not allowed to leave the home for a period of time - I can come to you !

What will happen if I book my appointment then go into labour ?

While we try and be as flexible as possible, unfortunately as a business we do still require as much notice as possible for rescheduling or cancellations to give us an opportunity to get another Mumma in for some relaxation. If you are close to your due date, and worried about going into labour, let us know ahead of time if you can so we can discuss options and maybe reschedule. Remember we can still massage during labour, or we can rebook you for a Post-Natal massage. If too late our cancellation policy may apply.

Can I still come for my appointment if I am in labour or what if I go into labour during my treatment ?

That is absolutely fine! and what a surprise that will be! We can continue your massage if all going well and you are comfortable, or we can call someone to collect you. I am also a trained Birth Doula so I won’t panic if this happens and can talk you through it and we. If you already in labour and still at home, remember our in-home massage service is perfect for just this reason. Let me come to you and help you through these early stages of labour with some comfort measure and massage.

Are there limits to how early or late in my pregnancy I can see you & how often should I come?

No, not at all. We can see you at any stage of your pregnancy. it is a bit of a myth that you can’t have treatments in your first trimester, however some clients prefer not to. As long as everything is going smoothly, and you are lucky enough not to have vomiting or nausea, you can absolutely come in for your massage. From then on you can start on your massage journey right up until you are ready to pop and overdue. It is up to you how often you come to see us. I have clients who come and see me regularly every 2 weeks and others once a month or every 4-6 weeks. It is entirely up to you and we can tailor each session to how you and baby are feeling at the time. We can even complete your massage if you are in the early stages of labour - there are no limits! Remember, If your waters do happen to break on the table, you will also receive $10.00 off your next massage ! :) Remember our in-home massage service is great for those later weeks of pregnancy when you are tired and don’t really want to leave the house much.

What is included in a Full Body Massage ?

A full body massage is usually either 60 or 90 mins to ensure we spend sufficient time on each area. It can include back, neck, shoulders, arms, belly, chest/breast, legs, feet and head massage. Half of the massage will be preformed on lying on your front (Prone) and the other half on your back (Supine). If you have any discomfort during your massage we can always move you around and change to side lying. Remember its your massage and what is comfortable for you. For most massages you will take off the majority of your clothing and snuggle under the blanket/draping.

Do you have packages available?

Yes, we can tailor packages specific to your needs and how many sessions you may be after. We often have deals advertised on facebook and instagram so keep an eye on our social media to be first in as the popular times book up quickly!

Should I get a medical clearance prior to massage ?

In most cases, no. Massage is completely safe and we will go through any medical history with you are your first visit. However, If you have any current or previous conditions or surgeries that may be of concern for you, please let us know as we may require you to seek medical clearance prior to massage. In some cases, we are unable to massage due to contraindications of a medical condition. Reach out and have a chat with us when you make your booking and let us know any concerns you may have.

Birth & Post-Partum Doula Support :

What is a Doula?

A doula is a trained professional whose purpose is to ensure that you feel supported, confident and informed during your birth and postpartum journey. We help to provide information, helpful tips, guidance and encouragement, and to make your experience as comfortable, stress-free and positive as possible.

What is the difference between a Midwife and a Doula?

A midwife is a medically trained care provider who takes care of the health of the mother during your pregnancy, labour & birth. They focus on delivering a healthy baby and undertake specific medical procedures. A Doula is there for support. We are specifically trained to care for the mother’s continuous emotional needs and physical comfort. We do not have medical training and cannot be used as a substitute for a midwife, LMC or Obstetrician.

What does a Doula NOT do?

Doulas do not measure blood pressure or fetal heart rates, or perform any form of medical procedures. Doulas do offer non-medical pain-relieving techniques, such as massage and birthing positions to support a woman through the birth process helping to reduce the need for medications and/or interventions

Do I need a Doula if i have a midwife?

Absolutely, yes! A birth doula is like a library of tools for labour support that goes beyond the clinical skills a midwife or a doctor can offer you. Labour support is her specialty and the whole reason she’s there. A midwife is there for your safety - that’s their primary role. Doulas have unique skills to help you progress, feel more comfortable, and support you emotionally, spiritually, and physically, so you can have the best possible birth experience. As midwives are busy setting up for the birth, taking fetal heart monitoring, charting, and many other important tasks related to the health of mum and baby, your doula is there with you and your birth partner(s), coaching you through each contraction, getting cold compresses, massage during labour and basically assessing the room and what you may need before you know you need it! Doulas are also very helpful a homebirth, where an extra pair of hands to help with anything that may arise. Doula work is HARD but oh so rewarding!

How does a Doula help my partner?

This may be one of the biggest benefits during labour A good doula will help the partner so he can be the best possible support person. Sometimes, a little direction (maybe try a little pressure here on her back) or suggestion (lets try some cold compresses) can be priceless when you’re going on very little sleep and are wondering what to do next. Sometimes, a break so the partner can get a catnap can help bring some fresh energy back to the room. A Doula allows the space for you to labour together and give her your unconditional support.

Isn’t my partner my Doula?

A doula in no way replaces a partner during a birth. Our role is to support and encourage BOTH of you, which often helps take the pressure off the partner as the sole provider of comfort and support.

At what point in my pregnancy should I contact a Doula? The sooner the better! We take on a limited number of births each month and typically book up well in advance, so booking in sooner than later will ensure you a spot – and it also means you can reap maximum benefit, as our support starts immediately after booking. In saying that, you may be further on in your pregnancy and only just decided you would like a Doula.. maybe you have been meaning to get round to it or your situation has changed. Thats OK to, please still give us a call!

Do we have a chance to meet you before deciding ?

Yes, absolutely! Hiring a doula is a very personal decision – and one that should not be made without an in-person meeting - we have to click and have that connection. Both Moira & Michele attend all initial consultations if we can, so you will get to meet both of us and answer any questions. You may resonate with one of us over the other and thats OK (we don’t take it personally). If you like both of us thats great as we are always backup to each other if/when required.

How can i be sure you are available for my birth?

Thats a very important question! We are careful not to book too many births in a given month Moira & Michele work as a team - so if your primary doula isn’t available due to being off-call or at another birth, you will be fully supported by the other one.

Will you attend if we choose a Hospital birth or Home birth?

Yes! We support all kinds of births, at home or in hospital. Majority of births we have attended are in a hospital or birthing unit. We can either meet you at your home or at the hospital and support you fully until the birth of your baby (usually meet you in active labour but can also be there earlier for your support) For a home birth we will meet you at your home and stay until the baby is born.

What if i want an epidural or C-sections - can a doula provide support?Yes, absolutely! - as long as you are at the hospital, as you cannot have an epidural or c-section at a home birth or birthing unit.

If you don’t want to hire a Doula for your Birth or Postnatal ?.. but you still would like to have that additional support for questions, concerns or a listening ear throughout your pregnancy and/or early at home days, then Talk & Text Support would be great to you.

How can you help me at home during my Post-Partum days?

We can provide whatever kind of support you need – from caring for baby while you sleep, to breastfeeding/feeding support, bathing & comforting to helping you process your birth & listening to your birth journey, & some light duties if necessary. We can also provide pampering massage and baby massage - mothering the new mumma & ensuring she is supported during those early days is an vital role (we are there for partners to!)
